My Story
I grew up singing and playing the piano by ear. I learned the formal side of music by being a member of my high school band, choir, and music theater programs.
I received my Bachelor of Music Education from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, MI where I majored in voice.
I have been teaching music in some capacity for the last 20 years. I have experience teaching classroom music, as well as recreational mom-and-tot classes. I love to put together story-time music programs for local libraries and teach private lessons.
I believe that musicians have been equipped with a special gift and should share that musical gift with others. My main mission is to encourage musicians, young and old, to find a reason to practice by putting together small community concerts.
I hope you decide to join my music studio; you may just find yourself performing in one of those concerts!!
